Fifteen Minutes to Midnight

The sky is retaining light well into the night now. As I pointed out to Denny on Monday--in just a month we will begin losing daylight again.

Doesn't seem fair when it's not even summer yet.

This is the view from our doorstep, looking to the north--where the sun is living. Since the first day of Spring, the sun hasn't set on the North Pole

On the Way Home After Work

The sunset colors tinting the snow on the peaks across Kachemak Bay. It was so lovely that I pulled the car over to take this photo.

At the top of the bluff, this was the view to the west across the Inlet--the sun dipping to the horizon just north of Mt. Iiamna.

While behind me, all of Kachemak Bay reflected the sunset's colors.
