The sky is retaining light well into the night now. As I pointed out to Denny on Monday--in just a month we will begin losing daylight again.

Doesn't seem fair when it's not even summer yet.

The view from the top of Baycrest Hill shows only the faintest hint that winter is over.

This moose spent part of the afternoon slowly browing its way through the back
of our lot.

It was 27 degrees this morning.

The mountains across the bay look suspiciously whiter.

On the Way Home After Work

The sunset colors tinting the snow on the peaks across Kachemak Bay. It was so lovely that I pulled the car over to take this photo.




At the top of the bluff, this was the view to the west across the Inlet--the sun dipping to the horizon just north of Mt. Iiamna.



While behind me, all of Kachemak Bay reflected the sunset's colors.
